Approach
We start from the business
AI can do more than make existing tasks faster. It can create new products and revenue models, remove whole processes, and give smaller teams the reach of much larger ones. But buying the tools rarely gets you there. The gains come when the product, the processes, the people and how they're measured all change at once.
Three questions
What we help leadership teams answer
- 01 Where is the advantage? Find where AI, technology and changing customer behaviour could create strategic or economic value. Test each opportunity against evidence, feasibility, risk and your organisation's ability to act.
- 02 What must change? Translate the strongest opportunities into changes to products, customer journeys and how the business operates, including roles, decisions, data, technology and governance.
- 03 How will we realise it? Move from recommendation to execution: prove the riskiest assumptions, mobilise the right work, set ownership and measures, get your teams using it well, and lead the transformation where needed.
The path
Decide, design, deliver, embed
You can stop after any stage. Each one produces useful outputs that belong to you.
01
Decide
Choose the few opportunities worth pursuing, with a value case for each and the measures that will show it working.
02
Design
Redesign products, workflows, roles and decision rights around them, and set out what stays with people.
03
Deliver
Prove the riskiest assumptions in bounded pilots with agreed success measures, then build, launch and scale what works with your teams and partners.
04
Embed
Train your people on the new work, track results against the agreed measures, and leave a rhythm your team runs without us.
CEO, Board and Investor Advisory can run alongside any stage.
Investment decisions
How we size an opportunity
For each priority we set out the expected outcome, current performance where the evidence exists, and the assumptions behind the potential improvement. Implementation and running costs, feasibility, readiness, dependencies, adoption, quality and risk all shape the likely value and how long it takes to arrive.
We keep revenue, cost savings, released capacity and customer outcomes separate. Time saved creates capacity. It only becomes a cash saving when spending is reduced or avoided.
Evidence gaps and confidence are recorded against every estimate, so leadership can tell an initial value hypothesis from a validated investment case.
Governance
Built for regulated, board-governed businesses
AI decisions inside regulated or board-governed businesses carry accountability that a generic AI rollout doesn't. So we build for that scrutiny from day one.
Human and AI accountability
Every workflow redesign sets out who is accountable when AI is involved: what stays with a person, what's automated, and how a decision can be reviewed and reversed.
FCA Consumer Duty and conduct risk
For financial-services and insurance clients, opportunities and designs are tested against Consumer Duty outcomes and conduct-risk implications before they reach a board.
UK GDPR and data governance
Data use, retention and third-party processing are covered in scoping.
EU AI Act exposure
Where a product or workflow could fall under EU AI Act risk categories, we flag it early, while it can still change the design.
Board-level oversight
Recommendations are structured for board and investor scrutiny: assumptions, risk and dependencies are made as visible as the opportunity itself.
Governance in the plan
Mobilisation plans come with an AI governance and risk view, with owners and decision gates built in from the start.
Common questions
Questions about how we work
- 01Do you cover the FCA Consumer Duty? Yes. For financial-services and insurance clients, opportunities and designs are tested against Consumer Duty outcomes and conduct-risk implications before they reach a board.
- 02How do you handle the EU AI Act? Where a product or workflow could fall under EU AI Act risk categories, we flag it early, while it can still change the design.
- 03Who is accountable when AI is involved in a decision? Every workflow redesign sets out who is accountable when AI is involved: what stays with a person, what's automated, and how a decision can be reviewed and reversed.
- 04What happens in each stage of an engagement? Decide: choose the few opportunities worth pursuing, with a value case and measures for each. Design: redesign products, workflows, roles and decision rights around them. Deliver: prove the riskiest assumptions in bounded pilots, then build, launch and scale what works. Embed: train your people, track results against the agreed measures and leave a rhythm your team runs without us. See the engagements.
- 05Do you sell software or resell AI tools? No. We don't sell software or resell tools. Training and implementation support are tied to the changes we've agreed with you, not off-the-shelf courses or standalone builds.
Principles
How we work
Must do
- Business value before technology. Every engagement starts with an outcome, an economic hypothesis or a strategic decision. Technology choices follow from that.
- Redesign before automation. Automating a poor process preserves the wrong work. We ask first what should be removed, simplified or redesigned.
- Deliberate allocation of work. For every important workflow: what value is it meant to create, what should stop first, and what should stay with a person, what AI should help with, and what it can take over within agreed limits?
- Evidence before scale. The most important assumptions are tested through bounded work with explicit success measures before large investment is committed.
- Capability transfer. Outputs, decisions and working methods belong to you. We leave your leaders and teams able to continue the work.
Won't do
- We don't sell software or resell tools. Training and implementation support are tied to the changes we've agreed with you, not off-the-shelf courses or standalone builds.
- We don't provide recruitment or additional staffing. Specialist partners join only where the problem needs them, with their scope agreed up front.
- Fractional or interim leadership is scoped to a fixed term and outcome. Open-ended functional cover isn't what we offer.
